Clarkson’s Farm host Jeremy Clarkson, 62, has insisted he has not been sacked from ITV quiz present Who Needs to be a Millionaire. The previous Prime Gear presenter took to Twitter this night to disclaim the claims after reviews that ITV has made the choice to axe the quiz present.
In view of his 8 million Twitter followers, Jeremy wrote: “So many type messages about at present’s reviews. However loosen up.
“Lisa and I’ve not cut up up and I’ve not been sacked as host of Who Needs To Be A Millionaire.”
Following reviews of the present’s imminent cancellation, ITV has come out with a press release.
An ITV spokesperson stated: “As we’ve stated for a number of weeks, ITV is contractually dedicated to an extra collection of Who Needs to Be a Millionaire? (which has now been recorded.)…
“There aren’t any additional commissioning commitments past that at the moment as is typical with such reveals the place we make commissioning choices on a collection by collection foundation.
“Due to this fact for the avoidance of doubt neither Who Needs to Be a Millionaire? nor Jeremy Clarkson have been cancelled.”
Confusion was sparked earlier at present after a press release ITV boss Carolyn McCall made while talking at Selection’s Worldwide Media Lady of the 12 months
“Now we have a contract,” she confirmed. “We’re contracted to this [season], so we’ll do this after which we’ve no future commitments.”
