The restaurant is predicted to open in late 2023 on the Mandarin Oriental Residences Beverly Hills, a brand new boutique condominium (the primary to open within the neighborhood in a decade) providing of 54 non-public residences, developed by luxurious actual property funding and growth agency SHVO.
The Café Boulud model is called after the unique Café Boulud based by Boulud’s great-grandparents on the household’s farm outdoors of Lyon, France. In honor of this heritage, Boulud focuses his menu on traditional French dishes, seasonal specialties decided by the native market, greens and international flavors.

“I’ve been visiting Los Angeles for greater than 30 years and have many fond recollections from filming a TV collection, After Hour, with cooks and eating places throughout the town a few years in the past. I at all times teased Wolfgang [Puck] that if he opened a restaurant in New York, I’d open a restaurant in LA. After the opening of Reduce, this can be a promise delivered,” Boulud mentioned in a press release. “Café Boulud Beverly Hills will be capable to make the most of the contemporary, vibrant market, which I’m wanting ahead to sourcing native produce from and is the muse for the town’s thriving culinary scene.”
The chef may even function Boulud Prive, a personal eating service provided solely to residents of the Mandarin Oriental in Beverly Hills and the sister location in New York Metropolis on Fifth Avenue. Café Boulud Beverly Hills joins the portfolio of different outposts in Toronto, the Bahamas, Blantyre and New York Metropolis.
