Casey Likes will return to Broadway this summer time as Marty McMcFly in Again to the Future: the Musical.
Likes involves the function, made well-known by Michael J. Fox, after making his Broadway debut as William Miller within the new musical Nearly Well-known this fall. Exterior of the theater world, Miller stars as Gene Simmons within the upcoming Neil Bogart biopic Spinning Gold and because the main function in MGM’s characteristic Darkish Harvest.
He joins the beforehand introduced Roger Bart as Doc Brown and Hugh Coles as George McFly. Each Bart and Coles are reprising their roles from the West End production, which is scheduled to run via July 23, 2023, after opening in September 2021. Again to the Future: The Musical is scheduled to start Broadway performances on the Winter Backyard Theatre on June 30, forward of an Aug. 3 opening.
The musical follows the plot of the primary movie, launched in 1985 by Common Photos/Amblin Leisure, during which teenage McFly by accident travels again to 1955 in a DeLorean time machine invented by Dr. Emmett Brown. Whereas there, he should make his excessive school-aged dad and mom fall in love with a purpose to save his personal existence, and that of his siblings.
Again to the Future: The Musical encompasses a e book by Bob Gale, the co-creator and co-writer of the Again to the Future movies and new music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri, who wrote the rating to the movies, in addition to Glen Ballard (well-known for co-writing and producing the album Jagged Little Capsule). John Rando (Urinetown the Musical) directs. The musical is lead produced by Colin Ingram.
